INTRO TO STUDIO LIGHTING

This workshop is held on the last Sundays of every month from 3pm to 5pm.  Feel free to register for one of these classes before you book the studio or if you to wish to demistify the studio basics.

This workshop includes:

• Using mirrorless and DSLR cameras in the studio and lenses for use in the studio.
• Basics of lighting and theory. Hard and soft lighting.
• Types of lighting equipment. Flash lights, studio strobes, LEDs, triggers etc.
• Studio equipment, c stand, background types, reflectors.
• Lighting setup with one light.

THE RETRO ROB EXPERIENCE: MODEL DAY – 8 JULY 2023

One to One Model day that can be shared with a photography friend – £125

The inimitable and versatile Retro Rob will be styled as some of the most iconic musicians of the 20th century, including Jimi Hendrix and jazz legends Dexter Gordon and Miles Davis. This is your chance to capture truly unique and unforgettable images.

Studio support on hand to provide expert guidance and advice on lighting should you need it to take your photography skills to the next level. All levels of photographer welcome.

LIVE BAND PHOTOGRAPHY

This event is a rare opportunity for you to learn skills and be part of a great experience with a sound and lighting engineer present.  This workshop will be lead by Petra and Phil from The Photography Squad.

This is a live music event held at The Bedford, Balham. We’ll be covering camera settings, positioning yourself and camera angles, preparation for the shoot, engaging with bands and event organisers and understanding their expectations, as well as editing and use of images.

You’ll come away learning relevant skills you can put into action yourself as well as being able to capture some incredible images on the day.
